Our companions that weekend will be the Rotaries, Crossfires, MR2s, Buells and Triumph 675s. The wife, dog and I are heading to K'ville the 9th to spend some time in and on the house. I'll be hitting R'ville the morning of the 16th for Kens Fat Buddies run. :thumb:

If anybody needs a pit stop in K'ville on the way in we're just a mile off I 40.

Looks like the EMS agreement between Graham county and Tn is about done which means the road may get opened in time for RATG. Of course you stil cannot pass the slide zone so you'll have to come in via alternate route if approaching from the north.

My plans are to stop in Murfreesboro on Thursday night and catch up with friends, then cut south to McMinnville, Dayton and Athens, Tellico and into Robbinsville by Friday afternoon.

woot

BTW -- I love to say 'Soddy Daisy'...that's a great name for a southern town.

Would like to take a daytrip on Saturday or Sunday through Highlands (and hobnob with Robin Leach) and up to Rosman (there's a couple really cool drifto 180 turns there) and swing back up to Sliding Rock.

Why not take I-40 E from Knoxvegas and then 441/71 S to US 74 to US129 N?

Looks like way more fun and only adds about 60 miles

Because I-40 is closed due to a rock slide at the NC line.

Actually Dave, the route he's planned out gets off the interstate well before the rockslide at the TN/NC border. Personally, I'd avoid going through Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg... traffic through there is terrible!!! It's a redneck Myrtle Beach.

Anyone up for dinner Friday night? I'm also planning a daytrip on Saturday to Highlands for some fancy grub followed by some waterfall exploration in the national forest. Maybe a trip down sliding rock.
